What Causes Persistent Mild Cough Along With Acidity Despite Taking Rablet D?

HI, From last 4 weeks, I have been suffering from mild cough and acidity. XrayC test showed very minor infection. Blood test was normal. Prescription that i am following right now is Rablet D, Gelucil syrup, Zentel, Zedex syrup, Levocet and vibact. No progress yet. What may be the reason? What I am missing here(in terms of tests)? Could you please help me out? Thanks, Amardip

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent mild cough along with acidity despite taking Rablet D which is due to viral pharyngitis or upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry it could be mainly due to increased susceptibility of your body to get infected due to poor immunity. Need not to worry. You should not lay down immediately after having food an d go for exercise daily. I would suggest you to start vitamin C tablet for 10 days. You should give combination of Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen. You should give steam inhalation along with vaporizer. Keep sipping warm water. Drink hot milk along with pinch of turmeric. Visit ENT specialist/ pulmonologist once and get it examined if symptoms keeps on persisting. You should get blood tests done and get X-ray chest done and start treatment once proper diagnosis is ruled out.
