Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a dull ache in my abdomen. It is there all the time and I even have it upon waking in the morning. It is a "1" on the pain scale of 1-10. When I eat (anything), it goes to a "2" on the pain scale. Not debilitating in the least but annoying. I have had this for 2 months.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent mild pain in abdomen. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons like diarrhea , gastroenteritis , acid reflux , kidney infection , stress , lactose intolerance or hernia. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may examine by ordering ultrasound , stool test or endoscopy . Doctor may also examine physically by checking neture of pain and its position . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , anti inflammatory , proton pump inhibitor or laxative . Doctor may also refer you to nephrologist in case of kidney problem . For now avoid eating heavy and spicy food , avoid nuts and sea food , eat small and frequent meals and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
