Hello,

I can understand your concern. It seems that the cold is not just due to allergies and a bacterial infection might be the underlying cause that should be treated with antibiotics.

I suggest that you continue with the cold and allergies medication, but add Azithromycin 500 mg (Azee 500) once a day to the medicines for 3 days. This should give you relief. In addition, use the OTC available decongestants and do steam inhalation for relief from congestion.

If there is no improvement in the symptoms after 3 days, then I recommend that you should see a physician for the physical examination, further investigations, diagnosis and treatment.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
