What Causes Persistent Nerve Pain Despite Taking Gabapentin?

I take gabapentin for nerve pain from spine surgery. I have used two different pharmacies for the medicine. they look different but both have said they are gabapentin not a generic. Should they look different? I am questioning because I am have more problems with pain since the switch to new pharmacy,

if they have same generic than there is no need to worry keep on taking medicines and try to cntrol the pain as wel because excessive medications are not good if stil pain persists go to the doctor so he can swith to smthng strong
