What Causes Persistent Pain And Bruise On Lower Buttocks Post An Injury?

I fell backward 10 days ago and hit my head on the flat part of a desk. My head is better, but I have found I have pain in my lower buttocks area that ashes all the time, except when I am laying down flat. There is a bruise about 2 inches in diameter there. But after 10 days, shouldn t the pain be better?? I am wondering if I cracked my ischium? If so, should I have best rest for how long? Is it dangerous for me if I have not been to a doctor yet? I have 1% bone loss in both hips.

Hello,

As what I understand from the history is you should either take an MRI or an Xray to check out if you have fractured your tail bone. Because in most cases it gets unnoticed and the corresponding group of muscles become weaker.

In my 12 years of experience, I have come across many cases who went ignored as the tail bone Fracture and the pain persisted for almost 4-6 months.

Post having an MRI and understanding at what level there is a fracture and what muscles are becoming weak we could analyze and design the best exercise prescription for the best outcome score.

I think in your case also this is the issue. Get an MRI done, look for the possible causes and take the prescription in precision for 100℅ outcome score.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
