What Causes Persistent Pain And Infection In Ear?

my daughter has been very ill with an earinfection for the last 3 weeks severe pain and terrable infection she just had a blood test and her white bood cell count was 3 I am just trying to inform myself a little on this it was memtioned she might have someting done with her bone marrow tested in a couple of weeks .

Hi.
The persistent infection in the ear and low white cell count can be due to some conditions such a Typhoid or flu.
Repeat the CBC- complete blood count to see for the change.
Send the pus from the ear for gram staining , culture and sensitivity to get a report to change over to another antibiotic, give supportive medicines.
She also need to undergo CT scan of the mastoids to see if there is any reason for not resolving infection.
If there is persistent low WBC count bone marrow biopsy may be necessary as also other tests as per the orders of a Hematologist.
