What Causes Persistent Pain Behind The Neck, Right Arm And Forearm?
I am in persistent pain. It is a dull nagging pain in my the back of my neck and on the outside of my right arm and forearm. I have tinging and some numbness in the fingers on my right hand. Why? It may be this: Flying on a plane recently, my seat would not recline back at all. I was stuck upright in a 90 degree angle for hours. At one point, when I drifted off to sleep, by head slumped down, almost violently and with some significant degree of force. Ever since that moment, nearly a week ago I have had the symptoms I have described. I greatly appreciate any thoughts or advice?
Neck pain radiating to the shoulder and arm is mostly due to cervical spondylosis. Take an X-ray of the cervical spine AP/lateral view. Get an orthopedic surgeon or neurologist's opinion and go for physiotherapy or cervical collar as per your doctor's advice. If you are a diabetic or hypertensive, then they need to be controlled.
Hope my answer was helpful. If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
