What Causes Persistent Pain In Colon And Right Abdomen?

I have a sharp continuous pain that could be in my colon. It is a piercing pain that originates in the back and associated with a consist pain in my right abdomen. Frontal location, about seven inches to right of belly button. The pain is about an 8 on a scale from 1 - 10. It interferes with my breath pattern as it causes short windedness. I hate ER s and Urgent Care unless absolutely necessary. What are your recommendations.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having acute abdominal colic giving this severe pain.
There is a possibility of having acute appendicitis.
Go tyo ER and get examined to rule out acute appendicitis.
Mean while take some antispasmodic medicine like Meftal spas to get relief from pain.
Ok and take care.
