Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my boyfriend put hydrogen peroxide that he put in the microwave to heat up in my ear, well needless to say, it was way to hot, it hurt like nothin else, and still hurts. the reason for putting it in, in the first place was I had an ear ache, should I have it checked out?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent ear pain which is due to ear infection and foreign body penetration in ear. Excessive hot hydrogen peroxide could have caused blisters inside ear. Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to visit Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and start treatment after proper prescription. Get all the lab tests done and examination with otoscope. You should take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin along with Ibuprofen. You should put Otogesic ear drops 2-3 times a day. You should take proper rest. Try to avoid excessive use of mobile and try to avoid pricking it with any sharp object. You should avoid sleeping on this side.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
