Female age 52, lately i noticed that i ache, especially my hips and shoulders. i thought it may be needing new matresses, however, i spent a week away on vacation and i continued to ache. my joints continually feel achey and sore. no fever or any other symptoms. Just continual acheing. wakes me up at night. mornings are tough. overall excellent health otherwise.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent pain in hips and shoulders. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like nerve compression , trapezius trigger points , cervical spondylosis or due to wrong posture for long time . Disc problem can also cause such symptoms . I would suggest you to apply warm compresses to shoulder , so not work in one posture for long time and back twice a day , take proper rest an take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . If condition doesn't get better then consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor Will order CT scan or MRI along with physical examination . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory and recommend physical therapy . Doctor may recommend particular stretching exercises or surgery in severe case .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
