General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Any history of fever if present can indicate viral arthritis which could be the reason for the persistent and generalised joint pain. Other causes to be ruled out are rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis (if any scaly rashes are present) and gout. I would suggest you to take complete blood count including ESR, RA factor, serum uric acid, and creatinine.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
