What Causes Persistent Pain In Lower Abdomen And Back?
I had a test of bladder on Wednesday and on Friday I started to have problems with urinating and pain in the stomach. On Sunday, I reached my doctor and he prescribed Cipro. I have taken it Since Sunday morning and my urine cleared and urinating stopped to be painful. However, Since Friday, every evening and night I have pain in the very bottom of my stomach and in the back where kidneys are located. My doctor said he is busy tomorrow and he will see me on Wednesday. Is it OK to wait till Wednesday or should I go to an emergency room tomorrow morning? I am really worried. It is 1AM of Tuesday. Thank you in advance for your advice. My e-mail is YYYY@YYYY Also, I am 69 years old.
Since the infection may have cleared up with Ciprofloxacin, there could be urinary it kidney stones such may be causing pain in the back and lower abdomen.
Drink 2 to 3 litres of water daily. Consume Alkaline citrate syrup to alkalinise your urine and reduce stone formation. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables.
Take over the counter pain fleet like Ibuprofen for pain relief.
If the above don't work, kindly consult your Doctor for the same.
Thanking you.
