What Causes Persistent Pain In The LLQ Of The Abdomen?

I have pain in my lower left abdomen just above my hip bone. It is mostly a dull ache but turns into a sharp pain when i press on the middle of my abdomen just above pelvic bone. Should i be heading to the doctors or is this something i could ride out? (Just to clarify it is not peroid pain nor am i pregnant)

your issue could be realted to left colon or kidney or could be just an inflammatory process..i would suggest you to get an ultrasound whole abdomen and pelvis
