General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The pain after an ankle replacement surgery should get better in 4 to 6 weeks and it may need up to 6 months to full recovery. The pain that persists more than 6 months may suggest failure of the ankle replacement surgery and it may need to be redone.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
