What Causes Persistent Pain In The Buttocks?

I have been having this buttocks pain that is located at the top of my butt crack that worsens with sitting a certain way, laying on the area or squeezing my butt cheeks together. There is not redness or signs of abscess present. The pain has worsened and I am becoming more concerned
