What Causes Persistent Pain In The Fingers Post Being Scraped By A Lobster?

Hello... Just over3 months ago, I was in the Caribbean and scraped my hand on a fresh-caught lobster. It broke the skin but seemed to heal fine. About two weeks later, I notice throbbing in my middle finger, but the pain would sometimes migrate to all of my fingers. I have gone to several doctors... I have taken numerous antibiotics, been given hand creams, wrapped my hand at night, used combinations of ice and heat, and tried a carpal tunnel brace, but nothing is working. The pain is now constant and unbearable -- but no one can seem to help identify what is going on... Any suggestions????? Thanks, Monica

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Please undergo MRI hand to find out any lesion as nerve damage or vascular damage . If it is ok then it is neuropathic pain and i recommend taking drugs as methylcobalamin and pregablin . These are prescription drugs please contact your local doctor he will prescribe these .

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
