What Causes Persistent Pain In The Head After Sinus Surgery?

My son is 13 and three weeks ago had sinus surgery entailing all sinus cavities. Prior to surgery he missed significant amount of school, had a weird habit like cough every 5-10 seconds of the day unless sleeping, and frequent head colds that required antibiotics and steroids to recover. He also complained of headache which we attributed to his chronic coughing. Since the surgery, the cough has resolved and so far he has not contracted another cold virus. However, he is complaining of head pain in frontal lob and just today indicated he had foul smell in his nostrils which was also draining into his throat. His parents have been concerned his headaches have not resolved and wondering if this new symptom with the foul smell could have something to do with it. He just saw his ENT yesterday for his final cleaning so surprised if there is an infection that was undetected. Can you shed some light on fact that he still has headache 3 weeks later and this new smell he is complaining about? Thanks very much.

Headache still persists...foul smell discharge from nose...that means the infection still persists...still mucous is there...this mucius either needs to be expelled out ot it should be dried up with antibiotics. expelling out is a better option in my view. take a glass of lukewarm water add 2 pinches of salt in it and take a contained with long neck nozzle. put the solution in it. now put the solution into one nostril and let it come out of another nostril. your 70%-80% of mucous will come out. and there will be relief in headache. Also you should use shadbindu oil. Put 3-3 drops of it into both the nostrils...it will help in eliminate maximum mucous out of the nostrils.
Thanks
