What Causes Persistent Pain In The Hip Despite Taking Medication?
I m in so much pain from my hip i can barely walk ive tried motrin ibuprofren for inflamation but nothing helps my pain what can i do im on percocet 10mg 4x a day it doesnt even help would surgery do better for me im 36 n dont want pain meds all my life
Noted your short history about having pain in hip in spite of taking Ibuprofen and Percocet, you are only 36 years old and do not want to continue pain medications for life long. Sine you have so much pain the cause has to be found out. The probable causes are: Arthritis in hip joint. Muscle tear or so. This can be diagnosed by the following ways. MRI of the affected area. Clinical examination by an Orthopedic Surgeon. Associated tests of blood for diabetes, osteoarthritis and so on. Once a proper diagnosis has been made you can get a proper treatment. Surgery will be required if the medical management fails to relieve pain or there is something called as Avascular Necrosis or stage 3 arthritis. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
