General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to muscle sprain. For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen. Continue physical therapy. In case of not getting relief you may require MRI back after orthopedic surgeon consultation. Apply diclofenac gel or ointment locally. Heating pads may help.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
