What Causes Persistent Pain In Upper Right And Middle Abdomen Area?

Four days ago, I started having a pain in my upper right abdomen. By the time I went to bed that night it had moved to the upper middle abdomen. (Right where you would push if you were trying to help someone who is choking) The pain was worse if I pushed on it. I didn t feel bad enough to go to the emergency room but when I went to bed, I wasn t able to lay on my left side because it made the pain worse. The next day, the pain was higher (right below my sternum) and continues to be there now. I am still not able to lay on my left side. The only other symptoms are slight, occasional, pain below my rib cage (like a gassy feeling) and an occasional pain on the side of my neck. No dizziness, sweating, fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation. I am a 57 year old female. I am on medication for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and acid reflux. Any ideas?

Thanks to HCM
I can understand your concern

pain on right side abdomen generally gastritis but it is radiating towards neck ,here it is related to either gallbladder or liver disorders

first control the pain by tab.pan 40 twice daily along with antispasmodic like buscozest twice daily .

I would like to undergo once ultrasound abdomen as early as possible so we can come to conclusion of pain

if need then UGI edoscopy .don't worry it will subside but diagnosis we needed .

you can continue the antihypertensived .cholesterol lowering drugs and antacids ok don't worry ..
I find this answer helpful
