What Causes Persistent Pain On The Right Side Of The Chest?
I am a 74 year old female who is having unexplainable pain/discomfort on the right side of my chest. It happened before and heat and motrin relieved it but after a few days it has returned. I am in excellent health with no history of heart disease, diabetes, or hypertension.

It can be musculoskeletal pain or pain from respiratory cause on first impression
Investigate with chest x ray PA view.
If chest x ray normal than probably it is muscular pain for which ibuprofen like drug and hot compress useful
Avoid movement that causing pain
Take sleep in proper position
If still no improvement than get back with further query, we will investigate further
