What Causes Persistent Pressure In The Inner Ear Despite Taking Medication?

I have had an earache (left ear) for approx. 2-3 weeks. pain is moderate. Feeling is of pressure, hard to hear out of left ear. Have been to urgent care - physician prescribed amoxicillin and also ciprodex drops for inner ear. Possible fungal infection. Have been taking antibiotic for 3 days. Overall status is no real improvement. What would be the next step treatment? (i.e., stronger antibiotic, or oral fungal treatment}?

Hi welcome to health care magic ..

According to history you are having otitis infection...

You are saying fungal infection but you are given antibiotic drops...

So it's better to consult otorhinolaryngologist for otoscopy ear examination and if fungal growth revealed which is classic by black or whitish growth like than anti fungal drops prescribed....

It wax deposition also present than removed by syringing or suction...

Your hearing test also should be done...
So according to the cause further treatment given...

Take care

Hope this will help
