What Causes Persistent Redness And Soreness In The Tonsils?
I HAVE HAD RED AND SORE TONSILS AND IN FRONT OF TONSILS FOR 4 MONTHS. GETS BETTER AT NIGHT, BUT PROGRESSIVELY WORSENS DURING DAY. NO DIFFICULTY SWALLOWING, NO HEADACES, NO MOUTH SORES. I DO HAVE SOME TINGLING IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF MY MOUTH LIKE ON THE FLOOR OF MY MOUTH AND SOMETIMES THE INSIDE OF MY LIPS. THROAT IS NOT SORE BUT THE TONSILS ARE HAVE SEEN AN ENT WHO SAW NOTHING IN THE BACK OF THROAT, PUT A SCOPE IN, NO SWELLING OR LUMPS.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent redness and soreness in the tonsils which seems to be due to inflammation in tonsils known as tonsillitis and can occur due to bacterial or viral Infection. Need not to worry about it.
Take combination of antibiotic Amoxicillin 500 mg for 3-5 days. You should visit ENT specialist once and go for through examination and go for blood test as well. If symptoms keeps on persisting go for removal of tonsils( tonsilectomy).
Hope your concern has been resolved.
