One of my eyes gets really red and stays red for about a week or so. This has been happening for the last 5 years. At first I thought I had pink eye so I went to emergency and was prescribed some eye drops. But this keeps happening. My eye does not burn or itch and there is no discharge of any kind coming from my eye when this happens. What is going on? Nevermind, I did not realize I had to pay to have a question answered.
since it is one eye it appears to be uveitis an autoimune disorder. this will respond to steroid. in this case nodischarge or itching will be there. it can be examined under slitlamp and try to look for flare and ciliary congestionit may be little pain full and effect visual acuity. with treatment it will be alright imidiatly. only problem is side effect of steroid and dependency.
