What Causes Persistent Right Sided Lower Back Pain?

I have really bad lower back pain on my right side mainly by or a little above my hip bone. I think it is the muscle under the hip bone, because when i put pressure there and rub it, it eases the pain. What is exactly the cause of the pain? Could that muscle be twisted? Oh by the way my lower spine has a curve in it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a muscle strain. I suggest using a muscle relaxant such as Baclofen three times a day. I also suggest using magnesium supplement for muscle relaxation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
