Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Sir.My wife priyanka age 25 suffering from severe epigastrium pain upto 14 days.somtimes pain feel in rt. hypcondrium & chest.sgpt -95,sgot -54 amylase-119.alkaline phosphate-114.painkiller only superspas relieved for just 1 hour.endoscopy report normal.pain in epigastrium whole day but after taking liquid diet it becomes severe.please sugest. Thanks
I will suggest you to get an ultrasound done. There may be stones in gall bladder. Or a chronic pancreatitis may be visible if you do serum lipase. A simple infection in intestines may also lead to pain. Or a chest infection on right side may develop pain in right hypochondrium. The final diagnosis is possible by doing these labs. Once caught it needs to be treated accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammad Faisal Bacha, Internal Medicine Specialist
