What Causes Persistent Sharp Pain In Left Arm?

I have searing pain in my left med arm post to bicep, exxacerbated by trying to fasten bra, wakes me every night ,abduction increases pain. pushing down with arm in extension.increases pain This pain feels like a torn muscle that is on fire for several minutes then it eases, but the deep ache is always there. This has been going on for almost 2 months

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent sharp pain in left arm . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like muscle strain , myofascial pain , chest infection , acid reflux and lift something too heavy .

Take proton pump inhibitor and H 2 blockers for acid reflux. It can also sometimes occur due to cardiac condition like angina . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper examination and rule out serious condition like angina or heart failure .

Doctor may order ECG, TMT along with complete blood profile and troponin t test . Doctor may prescribe isosorbide dinitrate , beta blockers , furosemide , sedative and aspirin . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon if there will be broken rib or muscle or chest socialist for chest infection .
