What Causes Persistent Sore Throat With A Feverish Feeling?

My son has been tired a lot with sore throat...he has been checked for mono, neg....strep was positive and just got done with 2nd round of meds.......the gets the chills and feels feverish but does not have a fever at nights....today he said his left side hurt?

Hi,

I think he can be evaluated by an ENT doctor. I think he could have tonsil stones. They cause pain and difficulty swallowing and can be removed by ENT.
