Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....
As per your complain persisting swelling of
lymph nodes after having a recent history viral infection has a most probable chance that it is secondary to infection.
Many a times the inflammation of the lymph nodes does not subside immediately after the infection subsides and can take comparatively longer.
The other thing is that if the lymph nodes are mobile and painful it does not seems to be anything serious and most probably inflammation..
I would however suggest you to consult an Infectious medicine specialist and get evaluated and he can advise you to get a
biopsy of the lymph nodes done to check for the exact cause of the inflammation and treatment can be planned accordingly..
In case if it is Reactionary lymph node secondary to infection antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkillers,
steroids and alternate warm and cool compresses will relieve..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
