What Causes Persistent Swelling In The Knee Cap?

Please can you help me diagnose my knee problem I can t seem to find anything that appears to be similar. On my front left leg I have below the knee cap about inch and half below a swelling that is soft to touch but it looks like I have a double knee cap . I did used to run before , I am a dog walker and the knee tends to swell after being on my feet all day , no pain apart from sharp pain sometimes from knee down leg when using clutch in the car .

Hi,

Check with knee ultrasonography once, best is MRI, it can tell best if cause is not found! Check your ECG, BP, RFT and LFT also.
