Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I need a list of GOOD physicians and/or associations that make house visits, I lice in the Mira Mesa area. Currently have physician that it TERRIBLE (nicer calls back etc). I had a recent fall and BOTH of my feet are sprained and swollen, for more than 2 weeks, md seems to be getting worse than better. I need a doctor to prescribe MRI, X-ray, or whatever it takes. I have Medicare and don,t think they will cover any costs unless the doctor deems it abslutely with a script!
I am sorry for the sprained feet you experienced.
To inform you, the swelling after a sprain will persist for about 2 or 4 weeks after the accident.
We usually recommend patients to:
- Lift the legs to help blood circulation and reduce edema
- Apply alternating warm and cold compresses
- Apply a mixture of grinded onions with coarse salt to reduce edema.
If after all these measures, the pain and swelling will persist, should go for radiological studies including:
- X-ray
- MRI of the feet
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
General & Family Physician
