What Causes Persistent Swelling On The Inner Thigh?

Noticed swelling on inside of thigh on leg near groin. Not major swelling, but different from the other leg. I have had it for several weeks. At first thought it was fatty deposit, but it doesn t appear on other leg. There is no pain or discoloration. Is this something to be concerned about or is it just one more fun thing we notice as we age?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

You are having leg swelling in inner thigh since many weeks

So it should be evaluated through physical examination by doctor first

If appreciable swelling present than FNAC needs to be done from lesion to rule out nature of lesion

It might be Benign Lipoma like lesion if soft or fibromatous lesion if hard

So consult surgeon for this soft tissue swelling examination and further work up

If needed than surgical excision can be done

Take care

Hope this will help
