What Causes Persistent Tingling Pain In Middle Toes?

I am in good health, 57, 160#, female. For about 6 months I get pain like needles in my three middle toes (right foot). It feels like a nerve is irritated but it happens when I step a certain way. Painful when barefoot. Better if I wear shoes in the house. Big toe has numbness on the top and nail yet pain in the cuticle area. three middle toes go crazy with stinging pain at times. No injury. I did wear my Burkenstocks walking around Rome all day back in September. Not a great choice. Perhaps it irritated something. ???

Hello,

Numbness can be reality diabetes so kindly get your blood sugars checked, and if it comes normal then kindly get a NCV test done for you both legs and feet and consult a physician with reports for further treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
