Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having pain in my upper abdomen. No diarrhea, no constipation, no nausea or vomiting, no fever, just pain. It feels a lot different than if it was a gas bubble. I did notice that it was relieved a little bit after drinking a dose of Purelax, taking acetaminophen and drinking cranberry juice. It got worse after eating solid food.

What Causes Persistent Upper Abdominal Pain?
Hi, These symptoms suggest gastritis. Pain after solid food is quite suggestive of that. If not for a long time don t worry, I would suggest taking some antacids like Gaviscon 2 spoons 3 times for a few days. Also, use some acid suppression drugs like Omeprazole once a day for 2 weeks. Hope it will settle. If not, see your GP for proper assessment and management. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
