Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been without a period for 1 year and 9 months (I am 52) and 3 weeks ago when I wipe there is some blood streaking on the tissue. This has been going on almost every day since then with a day here or two without. Also, almost every day I have what appears a dime sized piece of clear like flesh with a couple of blood streaks in it. Today, it was a little larger and appeared a dark brown reddish colour. I am scheduled for a pelvic ultrasound next week. What could this be? specifically, the fleshy-like discharge?
This fleshy-like discharge you see everyday since once month is indicating some problem with your genital tract (most probably from your uterus). So, I highly recommend to consult with gynecologist, run trans-vaginal ultrasound and Pap smear testing to rule out uterine neck and other uterine abnormal pathologies. Discuss it further with your caring doctor as soon as possible.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
