What Causes Persisting Period After Taking Letovel 2.5 Mg?

Dear sir I m 30 a thyroid patient and planning to concieve , this month i got spotting on the same day of periods and continued for 5 days ,from 2nd day my gynec suggested me take letoval 2.5 mg for 5 days after that my periods started and today is 8th day its still continuing .
Please guide me .
