What Causes Person To Relapse Even After Taking Opiate Blockers?

Hi, my sister is a serious addict. We made her go to detox and a 28 day rehab. After the fact we had them inject an Opiate blocker in her that is supposed to last 3 months. But, it still seems like she is still getting loaded. Yesterday I went by to bring her kids over to visit and found a huge knot on her arm with 2 injection sites she said a brown recluse bit her. But, I know better then that with no medical attention her arm would be worse the just a knot on her arm. So, my question is can she still shoot up? If so what? And, why is it not makeing her sick like it is supposed to do? What does it sound like to you? And, do u have any other suggestions on what to try before we lose her completely?

Ok, brown recluse isn't the most likely. The blocker blocks. It doesn't put you into withdrawal unless there is narcotics already in you. It just prevents the ones you take from doing as much (or mostly likely anything at all). So, it is common for addicts to shoot up while on blocker and to have nothing happen and they tend to do less shooting up after that.
You cannot directly intervene very much. You could get a blocker pen (naloxone pen) in case she dangerously overdoses in which case the pen is likley to bring her back.
