What Causes Petechiae On Face After Recovering From ITP?

My 15yo grandson was hospitalized last year with ITP. After a 6 month treatment he recovered fully and has been doing well. He called me from college last night because he thought he was getting petechiae again (2 areas on his face, each in a straight line) but an ER trip confirmed his platelet count was normal (234,000) and he does not have ITP again. Today he has additional lesions, all appearing in straight lines, looks a little like cat scratch, for a total of 5 or 6 now. They are not raised and do not itch or hurt. What should he do?

you mean idiopathic thrombocytopenia. monitouring is required. steroid like prednisolone may help. but there is side effect. so tapering is to be done
