My 15yo grandson was hospitalized last year with ITP. After a 6 month treatment he recovered fully and has been doing well. He called me from college last night because he thought he was getting petechiae again (2 areas on his face, each in a straight line) but an ER trip confirmed his platelet count was normal (234,000) and he does not have ITP again. Today he has additional lesions, all appearing in straight lines, looks a little like cat scratch, for a total of 5 or 6 now. They are not raised and do not itch or hurt. What should he do?
