What Causes Petechiae On The Arm Along With Headaches And Weakness?

For about the past year, I have petechiae appear periodically on my left arm. I have chronic headaches and general weakness. I am 76 years old. About six weeks ago, I was hospitalized with hemorphraging from a colonoscopy procedure, spending two days in ICU. Currently, I suffer from iron-deficiency anemia and have for many years. My platelet count is about 130 points above the top of the range. Any thoughts?

Hello,

Since your platelet counts are almost normal, the causes of Petechaie can be senile Purpura which is harmless condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
