Hi Doc, Well a few days ago a problem with mucus is killing me I had a problem with my tonsils i get sick once a month for them. Well the problem now is that i have a lot of mucus and it s white and very sticky and it smell is terrible the worst thing here is that there is a lot really a lot of mucus and I don t know why it happen.... can you help me please. best regards JM
As per your query you have symptoms of phlegmy throat which is leading to mucus stuck in throat is due to bacterial or viral infection of upper respiratory tract infection.
I would suggest you to: - Do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day: - Milk boiled with a pinch of turmeric taken at bedtime for can be relieving as it has antimicrobial properties - You should avoid spicy food - Drink lukewarm water throughout the day as it can provide relief You should get ASO titres monitored as if ASO titres are very high means level of infection is high so proper examination is required. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis.
