Hi, I ve been suffering from cough and colds for a week now. I had a fever the first couple of days, but I guess that s normal. I ve been throwing up as well (specially when I m super tired). This morning, I noticed that the phlegm I expelled had a bit of blood in it (which hasn t happened the previous days), and I feel something in my throat (it s not pain, exactly. It s just a bit of discomfort on the side of my throat). I ve been taking Mucobron Forte and Paracetamol for this. Do you have any idea as to what disease this is?
Fever, cough with expectoration following cold leads to possibility of infectious etiology of lower respiratory tract from trachea, bronchi to lungs.Streak of blood could be due to violent vomiting episodes which might have reached airway tract or due to infectious pathology like pneumonia. The throat discomfort can be due to irritation/trauma caused due vomiting episodes. You might need consultation with doctor to have examination of chest and throat.
