What Causes Pigmentation Of The Skin Through Out The Body?

hello , i am 32 yrs old and i had been suffering from pigmentation on my fingers ,forehead ,around mouth (lips) and even toe,.my skin type is combination type please suggest me treatment for the same especially for face .my medical parameters are normal.tried all peels and microdermaabrasion but of no use to me,skin is prone to scar formation no scars go off my skin even slightest scrath remains.Please help....

Hello,

I understand your concern for pigmentation of the skin through out the body. After reading your query with diligence I can make out that it might be related to internal issue most probably hormonal issue.

As you have pigmentation all over body so it better to get your skin analyzed from a dermatologist. Your pigmentation might be related to either cutaneous amyloidisis or lichen planus or due to hormones. If required a hormonal test can be done to diagnose the exact entity.
In the treatment of above it is very important to have sun protection. IN my patients with your kind of problem I suggest a skin lightening cream such as kojic acid over the pigmented areas.
In my patients with your kind of problem I suggest to use a broad spectrum sunscreen are to be used for 3 times per day. It is better to use a physical sunscreen then a chemical sunscreen. If you use a chemical sunscreen then it is better to use above SPF 30.

You can consult a dermatologist to get proper treatment.
