What Causes Pinching Feeling Under Rib-cage When Diagnosed With Ovarian Cancer?

I m an ovarian cancer patient (hysterectomy) nearing last of treatments before ct scan. Recently started feeling pinch on right side under rib cage, slightly above waist line. I will tell the doc when I see him Thursday (chemo day). Would like your opinion: should I run, not walk to ER?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you should get a chest X-ray done on routine follow up but if you experience difficulty breathing then an ER visit may be needed. Baseline EKG should also be done. Also lungs infiltrates should also be ruled out along with any chances of pulmonary embolism should be ruled out with relevant examination and blood work up.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
