What Causes Pink Area In The Creases Of Eyelid After Eyebrow Waxing?

I had an eyebrow wax done by a reputable medspa . first time there, but many times done elsewhere. Two days later I have a distinct pink, but not torn or bleeding, area in the CREASES of the eyelid but NOT directly below the eyebrow. The medspa claims they have no idea what caused it because they claim they did not apply wax in the crease. At this point, Im more concerned about possible scarring, or will this eventually heal? Like I said skin wasn t broken and two days later its just a kind of dark pink.
