What Causes Pink Vaginal Spotting And Stomach Cramps?
Hi I had my tubes clamped 3 years ago and My period is always on time. 4 days ago I had a light pink spotting that lasted one hr or so I have some mild cramps that come and go and my period is not due till October 9 I never spotted before. I also have been urging more the usual. Could I be pregnant
The best way to know if you are pregnant of not is to have a urinary pregnancy test. On the other hand if it comes out negative other causes of spotting can be thought of and you will need a check to have a gynecological examination with possibly some tests like PAP smear (if you have not had one in the last 2 years), cervical samples for chlamydia and gonorrhea (if you are at risk for sexually transmitted diseases) and transvaginal ultrasound to make sure the inner layer of the uterus is normal (not thickened)
If all these come out normal then there is nothing to worry.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
