Hallow Dear,

The first day of your menstruation was on 13th June and you had intercourse on 27th June. So the intercourse is on the day 14 of your cycle. This falls to be your day of egg release. Sometimes, some women do get little spotting to minor bleeding on the day of ovulation which may be associated with some pain in abdomen. This phenomenon is known as Mittelschmerz. Associated stickiness is due to the copious mucous discharge normally present at around ovulation. You need not be worried about it. In fact, if it was an unprotected intercourse, there is a good chance that you may conceive.

Hope this helps you.

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) Slight bleeding or pinkish discharge during or after intercourse may be due to partial hymen rupture, rough sex, blunt trauma or tissue injury, vaginal infection or dryness (lack of lubrication), hormonal imbalance etc.

Most of time, this type of bleeding stops automatically within 2-3 days without medical intervention.

2) Medicine like Tranexamic acid can be taken for 3 days to arrest bleeding temporarily. Use proper lubrication during sex.

3) Lastly, I suggest you to consult with gynecologist if bleeding continues more than 3 days. One ultrasound scan is advisable to detect uterine or cervical pathology like polyp or endometriosis etc. Do one pap smear test also.

Maintain genital hygiene properly. Wish your good health. Good luck.
