What Causes Pinkish Vaginal Discharge After Using Miconazole Cream For Yeast Infection?

Last night I tried a generic-brand miconazole cream (the same as Monistat 3 ovules) for the first time to try to treat a yeast infection. I dosed myself just before bed, as instructed. Upon waking, there was some pink in the discharge. Now there is also some actual blood. Is this normal?
