HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The pin prick pain may be neuralgia which is nerve related pain.

Neuralgia is pain due to neuropathy which refers to abnormal structure or function of the nerves.

There are different possible causes but for you, it is possible that it may be related to your treatment, it may be a side effect, you would need to ask your doctor about this possibility.

Other possible causes would be: (a) diabetes
(b)vitamin b12 or folate deficiency
(c)trauma
(d)liver or kidney disease
(e)neurlogical conditions such as ms, stroke

There are medications that can help if it is disturbing to you. These can be prescribed by your doctor.
Examples include amitriptyline, nortriptyline, tegretol, lyrica, gabapentin

I hope this helps
