What Causes Pitting Edema In The Lower Leg While On Metformin?

I have been under radiation Rx for prostate cancer with 45 treatments ending last Jan. Since then, I ve had chronic diarrhea. I had bladder spasms, but they ve subsided no. I also get an injection to lower my testosterone. My PSA was 7 before the treatments. Now it s less than .2. The drugs I take are: metformin 1000 mg. bid, atorvastatin 20mg q.d., Lisinopril 10mg q.d., Now lately I developed pitting edema from my knees down. My family phys. put me on a diuretic furosemide 20mg q.d. The diarrhea has me concerned. Could that effect my low RBC, HGB, etc. Six months ago my CBC was normal. I have little to no energy, which I blame on the testosterone levels. But, I m sure being anemic could add to that.
