What Causes Plaque On Tongue?

Hi doctor I m 17 and I worry a lot well I have bad plaque on my teeth and I had braces that cause me to have gum disease and well I haven t been doing a good job at keeping them clean and now I m concerned of the fact that my tounge might have plaque on it but its not that noticeable but my tounge is sensitive and I brush it and it kinda had a dot of blood not really bleeding so I m feeaking out what is it? Please I need a answer

After going through your history, firstly I wanna assure you that there is nothing to worry about.
During orthodontic treatment, maintenance of oral hygiene is must as plaque accumulation increases during the treatment.
I would suggest you to do brushing after every meal, use a Chlorhexidine mouthwash for 15 days and use tongue cleaner for keeping your tongue clean.
Visit your treating dentist for scaling.
